An Endesa-approved floating slab under 200+ transformers
Silentflex floating slabs under more than 200 transformers for Endesa, in a system Endesa has approved for its installations.

1The challenge
Transformers hum, and buildings carry it
A transformer hums at twice the grid frequency, 100 Hz in Europe, around the clock. When the substation sits in or next to a building, that hum travels through the structure into homes and offices, and noise and vibration limits apply.
2The solution
A slab that floats on springs
The transformer stands on a concrete slab that floats on Silentflex spring isolators, set in quick-access metal containers cast into the concrete. The system is patented in Spain, the USA and internationally, and approved by Endesa.
3The result
More than a decade of installations
From 2011 to 2023 Silentflex built more than 200 floating slabs for Endesa transformers. The system reaches 55 dB airborne sound insulation under ISO 717-2, and the customer has a month after completion to check legal compliance: if it fails, Silentflex replaces the isolators until it passes, or refunds them.
