Conical shock mount 935009

Silentflex laboratory · El Astillero, Spain

The cone compressed axially to 55 mm and radially to 30 mm, then released. Silicone absorbs a lot of energy: look at the size of the loops.

Max. axial load
944.11kg
Axial deflection
55.31mm
Max. radial load
295.59kg
Radial deflection
30.18mm

Solid line: loading. Dashed: unloading. The shaded area between them is the energy the mount turns into heat on every cycle — that is its damping.

Description

The Silentflex® cone 935009 does two jobs at once: it isolates vibration and absorbs shock, thanks to a large deformation capacity in both the axial (up to 50 mm) and radial (up to 30 mm) directions.

The elastic element is silicone instead of natural rubber. That widens the working temperature range (−50 to +200 °C) and makes it more resistant to aggressive substances. Upper and lower bases are steel; the lower mounting can be adapted with a customised plate.

Typical uses: onboard electrical panels and UPS, osmosis units on ships, goods in transport, engines and any machine sensitive to harsh movements in land and marine vehicles. It can be installed under the equipment or on a wall.

Key features:

  • Axial static load 100–300 kg, radial 40–80 kg;
  • Natural frequency: 6–12 Hz axial, 4–8 Hz radial;
  • Maximum dynamic load: 800 kg axial, 300 kg radial;
  • Standard thread M16, up to M24 on request;
  • Ø 185 mm base.

Laboratory test: axial and radial loading–unloading curves measured in our lab. Open the test to see how much energy the cone absorbs in each direction.
