How the stainless steel wire cushion works, filmed in our lab.

The simplest assembly: one cushion carries the load, the other holds it back if the load lifts. The cushion is elastic like rubber, but made of AISI 304 stainless steel, so it works with corrosive fluids and extreme temperatures.

Description

The Silentflex® spring isolator consists of one or more high-resistance springs that form a single anti-vibration mechanism. Each elastic element is a high-strength metal spring, inside of which there is an all-metal cushion made of stainless steel wire.

It is fixed to the ground on one side and the machine on the other using the M12 threaded hole on each of the fixing washers (the metric can be modified on request).

Key features and benefits of the Silentflex® spring isolators:

  • Very low natural frequency: 3 – 9 Hz depending on the spring type (4 heights and stiffnesses, 2 to 12 springs per mount);
  • Excellent vibration insulation properties for excitation frequency of 10 Hz;
  • Operation in harsh environments;
  • Stable operation in a wide range of loads apart from the nominal one;
  • Durability and strength of vibration mount;
  • Insulation of more than 99% of vibrations caused by the operation of electric transformers.
