Electronics and aeronautics vibration mount 7002

Silentflex laboratory · El Astillero, Spain

A 7002 mount compressed on our test bench up to 24.7 kg and released. The measured curve is what the datasheet is built from.

Max. load tested
24.71kg
Max. deflection
8.12mm
Lowest natural frequency
6Hz
Energy absorbed per cycle
0.34J

Solid line: loading. Dashed: unloading. The shaded area between them is the energy the mount turns into heat on every cycle — that is its damping.

Description

All-metal and stainless vibration mounts Silentflex® 7002 for electronics and aeronautics work in compression and provide a gradual stop using a kind of buffer, represented by a metallic shock absorber made of stainless steel wire and a high-strength metal spring.

This vibration isolator weighs approximately 100g and consists of a base with four mounting holes and a housing made of aluminium and a central axle made of stainless steel for greater strength.

Key features and benefits of the Silentflex® electronics and aeronautics vibration mount 7002:

  • Body and base in aluminium;
  • Springs in AISI 302 stainless steel;
  • Stainless steel centre axle;
  • Approximate weight: 90-120g (depending on the reference);
  • Axial natural frequency: 6 – 12 Hz;
  • Radial natural frequency: 4 – 10 Hz;
  • Maximum allowable excitation amplitude: + 0.75 mm;
  • Amplification coefficient at resonance: < 4;
  • Operating temperatures from – 70 ºC to + 500 ºC.
