Description
The Silentflex® floor shock absorber is a 100% metal mount made of an aluminium profile with two stainless steel wire mesh cushions, positioned so that it works in both compression and tension.
It was designed to stop vibration reaching the floors of high-speed trains and to cut part of the airborne noise in the passenger area. It is also used under other floating floors, air-conditioning units and onboard equipment in trains and buses.
Key features:
- Body in aluminium 6082-T6, cushions in AISI 304 stainless steel wire mesh, A2 stainless bolts;
- Significantly reduces structural vibration with no maintenance;
- Fatigue-tested to 3 million cycles;
- Withstands 10 times its nominal load without cracking or permanent deformation;
- Resistant to chemicals, corrosion, sunlight, fire and extreme temperatures (−70 to +500 °C);
- Weight 220 g ± 3%.
